Marketing is the process that brings ideas, goods, or services to the marketplace through planning, pricing, coordinating, promoting, and distribution. Marketing is the process of identifying and reaching specific segments of a population in order to sell them something, and it is also the creation of demand using advertising, publicity, promotion, and pricing. Marketing is an organizational function designed to deliver value to customers and to manage customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders. In our society, where nearly all production is intended for a market, marketing activities are just as important as the manufacture of the good or service. It is estimated that approximately 50 percent of the retail price paid by consumers is made up of marketing costs.
